# 4K Test Controls

Remote control app for the `/4ktest/` viewer.

Use the buttons to switch the main display between the bundled fullscreen PNG and muted fullscreen MP4 test media.

Most TV web browsers and streaming devices can not display web pages and images at native 4K (3840x2160). Instead, these browsers render at 1080p (1920x1080) then upscale to 4K.

Usually, the only way to achieve native 4K output is by playing a 4K video. This app allows you to toggle between a 4K image and 4K video to compare the difference.

Please note, many Samsung screens will not play the 4K video in the web browser.
